Mammoet/ExxonMobil shipments rescheduled to Thursday night

BOISE - Two ExxonMobil equipment transports scheduled to leave the Port of Lewiston on Monday (Sept. 26) have been rescheduled to leave the following Thursday (Sept. 29) instead, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

The over-legal permits allow the two shipments to leave the port at 8 p.m. or later Thursday. They will travel together north on U.S. 95, then east on Interstate 90 toward Montana.

One load is 23 feet wide, 101 feet long, up to 14 feet high and weighs 80,200 pounds. The other is 24 feet wide, 14.7 feet high, 90 feet long and weighs 115,700 pounds. They are expected to reach the Idaho/Montana state line in one overnight trip.

Traffic delays will be limited to approximately 15 minutes. Twenty-five locations have been identified as places for traffic to pass. The shipments will be accompanied by ISP patrol vehicles and pilot vehicles.
