Simco ramps to be closed overnight Friday to Saturday for paving
BOISE - Motorists can expect an overnight closure from Friday night (Sept. 30) to Saturday morning at the Simco Road Interchange (Exit 74) east of Boise, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The eastbound on- and off-ramps will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. to allow the contractor to pave the ramps. Drivers can use the Exit 90 Interchange as an alternate route during this work.
The ongoing project corrects severe pavement deficiencies between Boise and Mountain Home. Traffic has been diverted to the westbound side of I-84, with drivers in a single lane each way. Traffic will remain that way until approximately the first of December, when the project is finished.
Concrete Placing Co., of Boise, is the contractor on this $10.4 million project.
