Crack sealing is under way on Idaho 33 east of Newdale
RIGBY - Crews are sealing cracks in the highway on Idaho 33 east of Newdale, the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) announced.
The project is between Newdale and Tetonia.
Motorists can expect delays. Travel is reduced to one lane, with flaggers directing traffic through the work zone. The speed limit is reduced to 55 miles per hour.
Commercial vehicles are restricted to 14 feet in width. Drivers of oversize loads need to contact ITD Construction Engineer Wade Allen (208-745-5680) at least 24 hours before arriving at the construction zone.
Work will proceed east to the junction of Idaho 32 northwest of Tetonia. As weather allows, crews then will seal cracks on Idaho 33 between U.S. 20 and Newdale. The project is expected to be completed Nov. 18.
Highstone Inc., of Idaho Falls, is the prime contractor on this $421,000 contract. Please direct any questions to Hal Schofield, of Highstone, at 208-351-2077.
Drivers should watch for construction workers and equipment, and obey all traffic signs.
