Eastbound I-84 between Franklin and Garrity closed overnight from Monday to Tuesday
NAMPA - The eastbound portion of Interstate 84 between the Franklin and Garrity boulevards in Nampa will close overnight from 10 p.m. Monday (Oct. 24) to 5 a.m. Tuesday (Oct. 25) to allow crews to install new overhead sign structures.
During the closure, a detour will be in effect:
- Eastbound I-84 traffic must exit at Franklin (exit 36) and re-enter the interstate at the Garrity eastbound on-ramp (exit 38)
- Flaggers will direct motorists through the two-mile detour route south of I-84, following Franklin to Garrity.

Westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane in the work zone area. The closure is weather-dependent, so travelers are encouraged to check 511.idaho.gov or dial 5-1-1 for updated information.
Crews are scheduled to complete removal of the Phyllis Canal Bridge later this week and into early next week. Motorists may experience intermittent nighttime lane reductions on I-84. All lanes remain open during the day.
The Nampa Highway District is also planning to close Franklin Road, by the cheese factory, from Monday morning at 7:30 a.m. through Wednesday afternoon at 5 p.m. to do some work in advance of a proposed roundabout. Crews will be installing culverts in that location. Cherry Lane will serve as the detour route.
