I-84 lane restrictions for bridge work in Nampa on Friday, Sunday nights

NAMPA - Crews are scheduled to complete the removal of the Phyllis Canal Bridge later this week and into early next week, making night-time lane reductions on Interstate 84 necessary, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

The eastbound lanes will be restricted from 10 p.m. Friday night (Oct. 21) to 7 a.m. Saturday, and the westbound lanes from 10 p.m. Sunday night (Oct. 23) to 5 a.m. Monday for the work. Replacing the bridge over the Phyllis Canal is one of the final steps toward completion, in January 2012, of the freeway widening project.

All lanes remain open during the day.

Concrete Placing Co., of Boise, is the contractor on the $22.2 million project.
