Replacement of Weiser River Bridge planned for 2012

WEISER - A project in 2012 will replace the existing two-lane bridge on the south side of Weiser on U.S. 95 with a new three-lane bridge, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

The project is progressing through final design, and right-of-way acquisition is currently under way. It is expected to be advertised to potential contractors by January 2012.

The current bridge, at milepost 81.5, was built in 1935. The bridge deck, superstructure and substructure are all in poor condition. It is eligible for federal bridge replacement funds.
