REMINDER: Paving starting tomorrow means daytime ramp closures at Franklin, Garrity interchanges
NAMPA – Interstate 84 on- and off-ramps at Nampa's Franklin and Garrity boulevard interchanges will close starting tomorrow for paving, the Idaho Transportation Department announced. One-day closures are scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the following days:
Wednesday (Nov. 2, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
Franklin Boulevard interchange: westbound off-ramp closed (the eastbound on-ramp will remain closed until early 2012)
Thursday (Nov. 3, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
Garrity Boulevard interchange: eastbound off-ramp closed
Friday (Nov. 4, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
Garrity Boulevard interchange: westbound on-ramp closed
The ramp closures pictured here are scheduled after peak commute hours to minimize impacts to motorists. Crews will pave during daytime hours when temperatures remain warm enough to complete the work.
During the closures, motorists are advised to find alternate routes. All I-84 lanes will remain open during the day. The work schedule may be affected by weather.
Ongoing, intermittent nighttime lane closures can be expected for both east- and westbound traffic as crews move toward anticipated completion of the project by early 2012.
Concrete Placing Company, of Boise, is the contractor on this $22.2 million project.
