Completion of truck recovery at Mores Creek High Bridge postponed until Friday (Dec. 16)
BOISE - Helicopter recovery of a wrecked boom truck from the bank below Mores Creek High Bridge has been postponed until Friday (Dec. 16) due to cold weather, the Idaho Transportation Department announced. The recovery of the truck began Wednesday. The remaining wreckage froze to the ground Wednesday night. Crews are chipping ice from the wreckage to prepare it for removal on Friday.

The boom truck went over the side of the bridge in November while lowering equipment to workers. The recovery is being overseen by the US Army Corps of Engineers and the transportation department.

Traffic will be stopped one-quarter mile from both ends of the bridge during helicopter operations, out of sight of the recovery. Members of the news media wishing to view the truck removal should contact the transportation department to arrange escort to an overlook.
