Utility work to close one lane on eastbound I-90 at Northwest Boulevard Interchange

COEUR D’ALENE – Avista Corporation will be replacing electrical circuit lines across Interstate 90 near the Northwest Boulevard interchange Monday night (Dec. 5), the Idaho Transportation Department announced. Work is expected to take about 5 hours, weather permitting.

The eastbound inside lane and westbound inside shoulder will be closed. Avista will have one of their boom trucks parked in the inside shoulder eastbound to help keep the lines from drooping down to the freeway. Flaggers will guide traffic through the work zone area.

The lane closures will begin at 8 p.m. Monday night. There will be no restrictions on commercial vehicles.
