BOISE – The Selway Corp. will transport an over-legal load westbound across U.S. 12 starting Friday night, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The shipment will travel from Stevensville in Montana to Snoqualmie Falls, Wash. It is a pipe that weighs 185,000 pounds, is 95 feet in length, 22 feet wide and 17.10 feet high. The large-diameter pipe will divide water into two channels for a hydro project at Snoqualmie Falls.
The shipment will travel from 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. in Idaho, and is scheduled to take one to two nights to travel across the Idaho section of U.S. 12, depending on weather.
It will enter Washington on U.S. 195 north of Lewiston.
Three traffic control flaggers, three pilot vehicles, an ambulance and a Selway Corp. service vehicle will accompany the shipment.
