Inspection on unique curved Diversion Dam Bridge east of Boise slated for Jan. 18
BOISE - The Diversion Dam bridge on Idaho 21 east of Boise will undergo its routine inspection on Wednesday (Jan. 18), resulting in a lane closure at the bridge, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
Weather permitting, bridge inspection crews will perform the inspection from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the northbound lane will need to be closed in that area during the work. Flaggers with two-way radios will assist travelers.
The unique curved-steel-girder bridge was built in 1996. It is in good condition, and is on a two-year inspection cycle. Here's a picture of the bridge.
