UPDATE: Bridge inspection will happen on Diversion Dam bridge starting at 10 a.m. today
BOISE - To beat the winter weather that is forecast for tomorrow, the inspection of the Diversion Dam bridge on Idaho 21 east of Boise has been moved up and will happen today (Tuesday, Jan. 17), resulting in a lane closure at the bridge, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
Weather
permitting, bridge inspection crews will perform the routine inspection from 10
a.m. to 4 p.m., and the northbound lane will need to be closed in that
area during the work. Flaggers with two-way radios will assist
travelers.
The unique curved-steel-girder bridge was built in 1996. It is in good condition, and is on a two-year inspection cycle. Here's a picture of the bridge.
