Fourteen miles of Idaho 51 in Owyhee County to be repaved this summer
OWYHEE COUNTY - This summer, 14 miles of rural two-lane Idaho 51 in Owyhee County will be resurfaced to extend the life of the road and provide a smoother ride for drivers, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
In this short-duration project (mid-June to mid-July), the road will be resurfaced from milepost 19.9 to 33.7. Click here for a map of the project area.
One lane of traffic will be maintained during the work. Flaggers and a pilot car will be used to guide traffic. The speed limit will also be reduced in the project area. No night or weekend work is anticipated, but is not prohibited if necessary.
ITD will not restrict travel during the Duck Valley Fourth of July Pow-Wow and Rodeo.
