U.S. 95 Thorncreek Road to Moscow public open house Jan. 18 and 19; project information kiosk moved to Moscow City Hall
LEWISTON - Public open houses for the U.S. 95 Thorncreek Road to Moscow project will be held Wednesday, (Jan. 18) and Thursday, (Jan. 19), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

The open houses will be at the Eastside Martketplace off the Troy Highway in Moscow from 3 to 8 p.m. each day. 

The set-up and format for each day is the same.  Attendees will:
    -See visual representations of all 10 alternatives/alignments that have been studied
    -Learn and provide comments about the alternatives/alignments being recommended to be carried forward
    -Review and provide comments on the environmental studies conducted for the alternatives/alignments and talk to the experts who completed them

The environmental studies for this project have been posted on the Web  at www.itd.idaho.gov/GetInvolved/D2, click on U.S. 95 Thorncreek Road to Moscow, Stage 1.

These open houses will be the fourth public event for the project. Previous public events included:
    November 2004 -  Meetings to provide comments on issues, concerns and suggestions about widening U.S. 95 between Thorncreek Road and Moscow to a four-lane divided highway.
    January 2005 -  Workshops to review a range of alternatives/alignments and provide comments
    April 2005 - Open house to review comments and suggestions from the January workshops and provide comments

The project information kiosk has been moved to Moscow City Hall, 206 E. Third St. The kiosk is staffed by someone who can answer questions about the project Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 to 5 p.m. Project information, including newsletters, brochures and notices of upcoming events, is available at the kiosk.
