Drilling for foundation investigation at aging Broadway Bridge starts next week
BOISE - Crews will be drilling investigative holes near the aging Broadway Bridge across from Bronco Stadium starting next week as preparation begins for a future bridge replacement project at that site. The future bridge will be wider than the existing one, with bike lanes.

One hole will be drilled in one of the southbound lanes, and one hole in a northbound lane. The drilling will not take place at the same time in both the northbound and southbound lanes. When drilling does occur, traffic will be reduced to one lane in the drilling area. There also will be drilling work just east of the bridge, which will start next week.
Crews will adhere to a 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. schedule while drilling in the roadway, Monday through Friday.
