UPDATE: Temporary restriction of Milwaukee north of Franklin starts Sunday night for railroad crossing work
BOISE - Milwaukee Street north of Franklin Road will be temporarily restricted overnight Sunday (May 6) and Monday (May 7) while crews from Union Pacific Railroad rebuild the railroad crossing at that location.
The work is needed to repair a failing base and buckling surface at the crossing. Damaged sections of the crossing will be repaired to re-establish a smooth driving surface.
Work will take place overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Milwaukee will be reduced to one lane in each direction at the crossing each night during the work.
The work will be completed by Boise Valley Railroad Company, LLC. Traffic control is anticipated to be provided by Specialty Construction Supply.
