Two Burley traffic signals getting update, will serve as four-way stops for a day

BURLEY – Drivers should watch for a temporary change to traffic on U.S. 30 next week when control units for a pair of traffic signals will be updated, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

The traffic signals on Main Street at the intersections of Normal and Hiland avenues will be deactivated beginning at about 8 a.m. Tuesday (June 12) and will be replaced by temporary four-way stops. Work at both intersections is expected to be complete by 5 p.m. If necessary, work could resume Wednesday.

Drivers are reminded to use caution at the intersections and watch for drivers who might be unaware of the changes. Use of an alternate route is encouraged.
