Construction on Idaho 33 north of Driggs is under way
RIGBY - Construction on Idaho 33 north of Driggs is under way, the Idaho Transportation Department announced. The project is scheduled for completion late this month.
Crews are constructing a center turn lane and a northbound right-turn lane on Idaho 33 at its intersection with Little Road/Hastings Lane (2500 North) north of Driggs. Preliminary work started Monday (July 9), and full construction began today (July 10).
The highway is reduced to one lane, with flaggers directing traffic through the work zone. Motorists should expect brief delays and watch for construction workers, equipment and obey all traffic signs.
The transportation department awarded the $786,000 contract, which includes placing sidewalk and street lights along three blocks of Idaho 48 in Rigby, to HK Contractors Inc. of Idaho Falls.
