Lane restrictions on I-84 in Karcher Interchange project area on Sunday (Feb. 5); traffic shift will be removed
NAMPA - Westbound Interstate 84 west of the sugar beet factory in Nampa will be reduced to one lane on Sunday (Feb. 5), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

The lane reduction will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. to allow crews to restripe the westbound lanes back to their original traffic pattern. Traffic has been shifted since November to provide a work zone in the median for the Karcher Interchange construction project.

Crews have now completed the median work and will begin working on the highway shoulder.

Nightly lane closures of the eastbound right lane will continue Sundays through Thursdays from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for a few more months.

The speed limit in the project area is reduced to 55 mph until the project is complete in winter 2006-07.
