Nighttime surfacing project planned through Grangeville next week
GRANGEVILLE – The application of a micro-surface on Idaho Highway 13, also known as Main Street, through downtown Grangeville will require an overnight closure of the route next week, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

Work is planned to begin at 10 p.m. Wednesday (July 18) or Thursday (July 19) and continue until about 4 a.m. Thursday or Friday morning.

The project will require a brief nighttime detour around downtown. Motorists are encouraged to watch for signs and respect neighbors as they travel the alternate route. ITD is coordinating with the city of Grangeville to schedule the project in the least disruptive manner possible.

The micro-surface will improve, seal and extend the life of the highway surface.

Intermountain Slurry Seal Corp., of Salt Lake City, is the contractor.
