Construction on U.S. 93 south of Salmon to start Monday (July 23)
RIGBY - Construction on a 17-mile segment of U.S. 93 south of Salmon will start Monday (July 23), the Idaho Transportation Department announced. The project is scheduled for completion in early September.
Crews will resurface the highway between Cow Creek and Rattlesnake Creek (milepost 269 and 286) in Lemhi County.
Travel will be reduced to one lane, with flaggers directing traffic through the work zone. Motorists can expect delays.
Commercial transporters hauling loads wider than 12 feet will need to contact Resident Engineer Wade Allen (208-745-5680) at least 24 hours in advance for special authorization to pass through the construction zone.
Drivers should watch for construction workers and equipment, and obey all traffic signs.
The transportation department awarded the $5 million contract to HK Contractors Inc., of Idaho Falls.
