Construction on Idaho 48 in Rigby starts Monday (July 30)
RIGBY - Construction on Idaho 48 in Rigby will begin Monday (July 30), the Idaho Transportation Department announced. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-August.
Crews will place sidewalk and streetlights on both sides of Idaho 48 (1st South) between State Street and 3rd West. Lighting will include light poles and decorative streetlights.
Shoulders will be closed while work is in progress. Travel on the highway will be maintained with one lane open in each direction. Motorists should proceed with caution.
The project includes construction of a center turn lane and a northbound
right-turn lane on Idaho 33 at its intersection with Little
Road/Hastings Lane (2500 North) north of Driggs. The transportation department awarded the $786,000 contract to HK Contractors Inc., of Idaho Falls.
