Work on Texas Slough Bridge on U.S. 20 south of Thornton will take place on Monday (July 30)

RIGBY - A one-day project for work on the Texas Slough Bridge on U.S. 20 south of Thornton will occur Monday (July 30), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

Crews will clean and seal the deck of the bridge's northbound lanes. The bridge is located at milepost 328 just south of Thornton. Sealing the deck with epoxy resin and crushed rock extends the bridge's life.

Travel will be reduced to one lane, and the speed limit will be reduced to 45 miles per hour.

Commercial haulers moving loads wider than 12 feet need to contact maintenance coordinator Randy Drake (208-705-6602) 24 hours in advance for special authorization to pass through the construction zone.

Motorists should watch for merging traffic, construction workers and equipment.
