Bridge-repair work at I-84 Exit 27 overpass in Caldwell will close eastbound off-ramp Thursday through late August
CALDWELL - Bridge-repair on Interstate 84’s Exit 27 bridge in Caldwell will close the eastbound off-ramp from Thursday (Aug. 2) morning through late August, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
Crews initially will use hydro-demolition (a high-pressure water stream) to remove the top few inches of damaged surface on the old bridge deck. The contractor started work on the project last week.
Concrete Placing Co. Inc., of Boise, is the contractor on this $1.42 million project. The Exit 27 repairs are part of the $1.42 million project, which includes work on several other structures. The entire contract is expected to finish by late October.
