Similar work on south Rexburg interchange on southbound U.S. 20 will take place Wednesday (Aug. 1)
RIGBY - Another one-day project for work on the south Rexburg interchange (overpass) on southbound U.S. 20 will occur Wednesday (Aug. 1), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
Crews will clean and seal the deck of the overpass’s southbound lanes near milepost 332. Workers are sealing the overpass’s northbound lanes today (Tuesday, July 31). Sealing the deck with epoxy resin and crushed rock extends the life of the bridge.
Travel will be reduced to one lane, and the speed limit will be reduced to 45 miles per hour.
Commercial haulers moving loads wider than 12 feet need to contact maintenance coordinator Randy Drake (208-705-6602) in advance for special authorization to pass through the construction zone.
Motorists should watch for merging traffic, construction workers and equipment.
