ITD to replace crushed culvert at Hill Road and Idaho 55 starting today (Wednesday, Aug. 1)
BOISE - ITD will begin replacing a crushed culvert today (Wednesday, Aug. 1) at the intersection of Hill Road and Idaho 55, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
“We think the culvert was crushed during roadway compaction 12-15 years ago,” said Dan Bryant, ITD southwest Idaho maintenance manager, “but we just discovered it a few weeks ago during pipe investigation under the road.”
During repairs, traffic will be maintained on one side of the road while crews remove and replace pipe on the opposite side of the road.
Repairs, expected to take at least a week, will cost an estimated $17,000. ITD maintenance crews will complete the repairs.
