Repaired Middle Fork Boise River Road reopened

The following news is being released on behalf of the Atlanta Highway District June 30, 2005.

BOISE - The washed out portion of the Middle Fork Boise River Road 10 miles west of Atlanta has been repaired and is open to traffic, the Atlanta Highway District announced.

About 150 feet of roadway washed out after heavy spring rains, prompting closure of a two-mile section of the roadway. The Idaho Transportation Department administered work by Central Paving Inc. of Boise to repair the roadway and use rock to protect the roads shoulder against the river.

The Middle Fork Boise River Road provides the primary access to Atlanta.
