Railroad repairs to cause minor delays on U.S. 12 in Lewiston
LEWISTON – Repairs to a railroad crossing on U.S. 12 at the intersection of 1st and D streets in Lewiston will cause minor traffic delays tomorrow (Aug. 16), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
Work will begin at 6:30 a.m. Thursday and be finished by 2 p.m. Traffic cones will guide motorists through the work zone.Crews will be replacing the rubber planking on the railroad crossing with asphalt to provide a smoother ride.
The project is a joint effort between the transportation department and Great Northwest Railroad.
