Speed limit temporarily reduced to 55 mph through I-90 Beck Road Interchange project in Post Falls
COEUR D’ALENE – The speed limit on I-90 has been temporarily reduced to 55 mph through the Beck Road Interchange project in Post Falls, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The lower speed limit will increase safety for motorists traveling through the work area. Heavy equipment will be entering and exiting the highway, often using the shoulders of the road.
In the coming months, motorists will experience changes in traffic patterns as the contractor constructs the new interchange. A consistent, lower speed limit through the project will help provide a safer work zone for highway users and workers alike.
The reduced speed will be in place until the project is completed later this year.
