Reconstruction project on Airport Road south of Twin Falls includes a detour
SHOSHONE - Traffic on Airport Road south of Twin Falls, from 3400 North Road to 3500 North Road, will be detoured beginning Wednesday (March 1), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The detour will route traffic around a construction project that reconstructs the one-mile segment of deteriorated roadway. The detour will be in place until mid-May.
The project includes replacement of the Highline Canal Bridge on the Airport Road. Motorists should expect intermittent delays with brief lane closures in the area while work on the bridge takes place.
ITD is partnering with the Twin Falls Highway District on the project. Stage 1 of this $2 million project is scheduled to be complete in June. Idaho Sand & Gravel of Jerome is the project contractor.
