Nighttime paving continues on Eagle Road starting tonight (Sept. 13)
MERIDIAN – One northbound lane on Eagle Road from River Valley Street to Hobble Creek (approximate vicinity of Fairview Avenue to Chinden Boulevard) will be closed overnight starting tonight (Thursday, Sept. 13) so crews can pave the final layer of asphalt on the roadway. Crews will finish paving the northbound section of Eagle Road by Sept. 18.
Between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. one lane will remain open in each direction. Click here to view a map.
At nighttime only, access will be limited to neighborhoods and businesses along Eagle Road between River Valley Street and Hobble Creek. There will be approximately 15-minute delays at both the Ustick Road and McMillan Road intersections.
Please use alternate routes to avoid Eagle Road during the nighttime lane closures if you live in the area. Flaggers will direct traffic and help drivers find alternate routes to their homes and businesses.
ITD asks travelers to please plan ahead during construction, pay attention in construction zones and be aware of the safety of construction workers.
In April, Idaho Sand & Gravel Co., of Nampa, was selected as the construction contractor of the project with a bid of $4.7 million.
For more information about the project, please check the Eagle Road
Improvement Project page on ITD’s project website by going to ITD's web
page at itd.idaho.gov, clicking on Projects, then Southwest Idaho, then Eagle Road Construction.
When complete, the improvements will preserve the surface of Eagle Road, relieve congestion and improve safety on this important corridor.
