Busy week has numerous traffic impacts for ITD’s Boise maintenance crew
BOISE - Next week will be a full one for the Idaho Transportation Department’s Boise maintenance crews, meaning closures, lane restrictions and speed reductions await drivers. Here’s the agenda:
Monday (Oct. 15) – The crew will provide traffic control for ITD’s Bridge Inspection crews as they review both Gowen Railroad bridges and both Broadway Railroad bridges. The inside lane of Interstate 84 will be closed, starting on the westbound side. The speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph.
Tuesday (Oct. 16) – The crew will be performing a mill and inlay on eastbound I-84 from milepost 60.1-60.5. The right lane will be closed and the speed reduced to 55 mph.
Wednesday (Oct. 17) – The crew will be milling and paving the Gowen Railroad approaches, resulting in the closure of the eastbound right lane of I-84 from about noon to 4 p.m. The speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph. Electronic readerboards will be used to alert drivers to the eastbound closure at Exit 57, recommending that motorists access Idaho 21 via Exit 59. The westbound left inside lane will be closed in the afternoon.
