New Dubois overpass to open Monday (Oct. 15)

RIGBY - The overpass of the new Interstate 15 interchange (Exit 167) under construction west of Dubois will open Monday (Oct. 15), the Idaho Transportation Department announced. Traffic on Idaho 22 now will bridge I-15 at the location.

Crews will close southbound on- and off-ramps of I-15 at the same time, allowing for reconstruction of these ramps. The project is scheduled for completion in November, with seal coating planned in 2013.

Traffic on southbound I-15 can access Idaho 22 by making a U-turn from the passing lane after passing under the new overpass, as marked by sign and barrels.

Traffic on Idaho 22 will access southbound I-15 by making a U-turn from the northbound passing lane north of the new overpass, after entering the freeway from the northbound ramp of the interchange.

Motorists should anticipate merging traffic, watch for construction workers and equipment, and obey all traffic signs.
