New signal at U.S. 95 and Wyoming Avenue to begin full operation Monday (Nov. 5)
COEUR d’ALENE – A new traffic signal at U.S. 95 and Wyoming Avenue is scheduled to begin full operation Monday (Nov. 5), the Idaho Transportation Department announced. The signal has been in flashing mode for two weeks while technicians tested the signal heads and other hardware.
Motorists will be able to make all turning movements at the intersection in a safe and efficient manner as a result of the new signal.
In addition to the changes at Wyoming Avenue, motorists no longer will be able to turn left onto U.S. 95 from Lacey Avenue or proceed through the intersection from Lacey. Right turns from U.S. 95 onto Lacey will be permitted, as will right turns from Lacey onto U.S. 95.
The contractor for the $1.1 million signalization project is Interstate Concrete and Asphalt, of Coeur d’Alene.
