Eastbound I-90 at Beck Road Interchange to be reduced to one lane in project area
COEUR d’ALENE – Motorists eastbound on I-90 through the Beck Road Interchange project can expect delays Friday (Nov. 2), the Idaho Transportation Department announced. The highway will be reduced to one lane from the Washington State border to Pleasantview Road in Post Falls.
The lane closure will last a full day, including morning and evening commutes. Electronic signs will warn motorists of the delay.
The contractor will pave the ramps at the new interchange. The activity is weather-dependent, and clear weather is predicted on Friday.
The speed limit on I-90 has been temporarily reduced to 55 mph. Reducing and maintaining a consistent speed will help provide a safer work zone for drivers and workers. The speed reduction will be in place until the project is completed later this year.
