Westbound Chinden through lane to close for half-day at Eagle and Chinden
MERIDIAN – The right westbound Chinden Boulevard through lane at the Eagle Road and Chinden intersection will close from early morning Saturday (Nov. 10) until approximately 1 p.m. for electrical work, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
Access to the left westbound through lane will remain open, and motorists will be able to make right and left hand turns from Chinden Boulevard onto Eagle Road.
Crews will be replacing electrical components for new traffic signals and cameras. Early next week, crews also will place the new signal poles at this intersection.
ITD is on schedule to complete the project by late November.
For more information, please check the Eagle Road Improvement Project page on ITD’s website. Go to itd.idaho.gov, click on Projects, then Southwest Idaho, then Eagle Road Construction.
When complete, the improvements will preserve the surface of Eagle Road, relieve congestion and improve safety on this important corridor.
