U.S. 95 at Eastport (Canada border) to close temporarily on Wednesday
COEUR dALENE - U.S. 95 at the Eastport border crossing will be closed temporarily for rail crossing repair on Wednesday (March 22), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The closure will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Detour signs have been put in place to warn drivers of the upcoming closure and detour route. From Idaho, motorists can take Idaho 1 into Canada. From Canada, drivers can take Route 3 over to Route 21, then down Idaho 1 into Idaho.
The rail line is owned by Union Pacific Railroad.
