Utility work at the intersection of Pole Line Road and Washington Street may lead to traffic delays
SHOSHONE - Utility companies will relocate buried pipes at the intersection of Pole Line Road and Washington Street beginning Wednesday (March 22) as part of the U.S. 93 Twin Falls Alternate Route project, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

Flaggers will direct traffic through the intersection. Some lane closures should be expected along with delays of up to 15 minutes. The use of alternate routes is encouraged.

Motorists are reminded to slow down in highway construction zones. Rear-end collisions account for most work zone crashes. Following too close, inattentive driving, failing to yield the right of way and improper lane changes also contribute to accidents in work zones.

This relocation work, expected to be complete by the April 1, is all part of the $18.8 million second phase of constructing the alternate route. Western Construction of Boise is the contractor.
