Public input sought for Southway and Snake River Avenue Improvement Project
LEWISTON - An open house regarding roadway and pedestrian
improvements to Southway and Snake River Avenues will be held on
Thursday (March 30), the City of Lewiston announced.
The public is invited to comment on improvement options in the study
area that includes Snake River Avenue from Bryden Canyon Road (Southway
Bridge) to the U.S. 12 Bypass, and Southway Avenue from Snake River
Avenue to 8th Street. The project will improve traffic flow, enhance
safety and expand pedestrian access.
The open house will be held Thursday, March 30 at the Red Lion
Lewiston, Port 4 Room, 621 21st Street. People are encouraged to stop
by between 4 and 7 p.m.
Project engineers used input fromt a public workshop held last year
to develop a wide range of roadway improvement options. These options
will be presented at the open house. Comments received will help
project officials select and refine alternatives to be carried forward
in the environmental study.
