Crossing signal work will impact U.S. 20 traffic at Hit Road and St. Leon interchanges
RIGBY - The Eastern Idaho Railroad will install new overhead crossing signals at Hitt and St. Leon roads on Thursday and maybe Friday (March 30-31), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

During the signal installation at each road, that road will be closed. Each closure will make that interchange unavailable for access by motorists wishing to exit U.S. 20 to go south to Idaho Falls.

Crews are scheduled to work on the Hitt crossing from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday (March 30) and at the St. Leon crossing from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday (March 31). If the Hitt installation goes quickly, the crew will install the St. Leon crossing signal on Thursday afternoon (March 30), closing the road then instead of on Friday.
