Crews to install interchange light poles in Idaho Falls, Rigby and St. Anthony starting Monday (April 22)

RIGBY - Crews will install light poles to enhance safety at interchanges in Idaho Falls, Rigby and St. Anthony starting Monday (April 22), the Idaho Transportation Department announced. Work will be completed by June.

Crews will pour foundations, install underground power lines and erect light poles on Interstate 15 at Exits 118 and 119 in Idaho Falls, on U.S. 20 at Exit 322 in Rigby, and on U.S. 20 at Exit 346 in St. Anthony.

The contractor will work on all three interchanges simultaneously, placing 25 light poles at Exits 118 and 119 in Idaho Falls, 15 at Exit 322 in Rigby and 14 at Exit 346 in St. Anthony.

Traffic on I-15 in Idaho Falls will be reduced to one lane in each direction during pole placements.

Lights on the poles will illuminate on- and off-ramps where they intersect state and local roads. Illumination enhances traffic safety, especially in inclement weather.

The transportation department awarded the $674,800 contract to Ray’s Heating, of Salmon.
