ITD aviation academy enrollment under way
BOISE - High school students, ages 14-18, are invited to learn about aviation and space-related careers at the annual Aviation Career Exploration (ACE) Academy June 24-26 in Boise.
The deadline for enrolling is extended to May 31 for the program, which is sponsored by the Idaho Transportation Department’s Division of Aeronautics.
Students will go on field trips to places like the Boise Airport Terminal, a flight school, a military aviation facility and an air traffic control tower. Other activities include seminars on aviation careers and colleges, participation in an airplane flight and a hands-on satellite balloon project.
