Work on Idaho 55 near Shadow Valley Golf Course will slow traffic Wednesday
BOISE - Crews will perform investigative drilling work on a short section of Idaho 55 on Wednesday (May 29) near the Shadow Valley Golf Course, resulting in lane closures in this two-lane section of highway, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
Flaggers will help guide traffic between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., from milepost 50-51.5, as crews drill test sites in both lanes to determine the cause of rapid pavement deterioration in this area and the best method of repair.
The northbound lane will be closed first, followed by the southbound lane. There also is damaged guardrail on the southbound side of the road that will be repaired. The cost for the guardrail repair is estimated at $3,000.
