Signal work expected tonight and closure on Park Lane Saturday

EAGLE – The signal at the intersection of Idaho 44 and Fisher Park Lane will be turned off tonight (Thursday, June 6), as part of the Idaho Transportation Department’s highway improvements from Linder Road to Ballantyne Lane.

Flaggers will direct traffic through the intersection from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Traffic will be restricted to one lane at various times during the night. The signal will be back in operation by Friday morning.

On Saturday (June 8), access to Park Lane (a block west of Fisher Park) from Idaho 44 will be closed from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. so crews can rebuild the roadway at this intersection. During this work, drivers can access Park Lane from Floating Feather Road.

Drivers please note that the reduced speed limit of 45 mph on Idaho 44 has been extended from Linder Road to Idaho 16.

Drivers should remember to slow down, pay attention in construction zones and be aware of the safety of construction workers. Motorists can expect delays during construction, and patience is appreciated. Drivers should plan extra time for trips and, if possible, find an alternate route.

For the next several months, crews will be rebuilding the intersection of Idaho 44 and Linder Road and widening Idaho 44 to five lanes. Construction is expected to be completed by this fall.
