Expect Saturday closure on Linder, flagging on Idaho 44 through W. State Street intersection
EAGLE – Linder Road north of Idaho 44 to Escalante Drive will be closed from 5 a.m. to noon Saturday (June 15) as crews rebuild the intersection. This work is part of the Idaho Transportation Department’s improvements to Idaho 44 from Linder to Ballantyne Lane.
Also Saturday, the traffic signal at the intersection of Idaho 44 and W. State Street will not be operating. Flaggers will direct traffic through the intersection from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. as crews work on rebuilding that intersection. One lane in each direction will be maintained on Idaho 44 during the work.
Drivers are asked to slow down, pay attention in construction zones and be aware of the safety of construction workers. Motorists can expect delays during construction and should exercise patience. Motorists are encouraged to plan extra time for trips and, if possible, find an alternate route.
Over the next several months, crews will be rebuilding the Idaho 44/Linder Road intersection and widening Idaho 44 to five lanes. Construction is expected to be completed by this fall.
