Drivers can expect lane restrictions on Gowen Road at westbound I-84 off-ramp Tuesday night
BOISE – Intermittent overnight lane and shoulder restrictions will be in place on Gowen Road near the I-84 westbound off-ramp on Tuesday (June 25) as the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) drills for signal poles to be used by the new Gowen Road interchange.
The lane and shoulder restrictions will be in place from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. At least one lane in each direction will remain open on Gowen Road.
ITD asks travelers to plan ahead during construction, pay attention in construction zones, and be aware of the safety of construction workers.
Construction of the new Gowen Road Interchange is expected to begin in early 2014 and be complete by fall 2015. ITD also will reconstruct the Broadway Avenue and Meridian Road interchanges, and widen I-84 between the Broadway and Gowen interchanges.
The projects are funded with savings from the GARVEE Transportation Program. To learn more, visit http://itd.idaho.gov/projects/garvee/.
