Dust abatement project planned Wednesday on Idaho 7
LEWISTON – A dust-abatement project planned Wednesday (June 26) on Idaho 7 could result in minor delays, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
ITD will work with a contractor to apply approximately 365 tons of magnesium chloride on the Gilbert Grade highway, from the Lewis County line to the highway’s junction with U.S. 12.
Work will begin at 6:30 a.m. and should be finished at about 7 p.m.
Application of the compound will help eliminate dust on the 12-mile segment of highway, reducing highway maintenance, increasing visibility for motorists and improving air quality for travelers and nearby residents.
