Expect overnight lane restrictions on I-84 at Broadway Interchange June 30-July 3 for drilling
BOISE – Drivers should be aware of nighttime lane and shoulder restrictions on and around the Interstate 84 Broadway Avenue Interchange Sunday through Wednesday (June 30-July 3), the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) announced. Crews will be drilling to determine placement of overhead sign foundations for the coming interchange reconstruction.
Drilling will occur on I-84 near the Broadway Interchange and Broadway Avenue. All lane and shoulder restrictions will be from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• One lane of eastbound I-84 will be closed at the Broadway Interchange.
• One lane of northbound Broadway Avenue will be closed.
• The shoulders on both off-ramps of the interchange will be closed.
Construction of the new Broadway Avenue Interchange is expected to begin in early 2014 and be complete by fall 2015. ITD also will reconstruct the Gowen Road and Meridian Road interchanges, and widen I-84 between Broadway and Gowen interchanges.
