Linder Road between Idaho 44 and Hatchery Road to close this weekend

EAGLE – Linder Road between Idaho 44 and Hatchery Road will be closed this weekend for paving work, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

The closure will start Saturday morning (July 20) at 6 a.m. The section of road is scheduled to re-open on Monday (July 22) at 6 a.m. The closure will allow crews to pave and rebuild the south side of the Linder Road/Idaho 44 intersection.

During the closure, residents who live between Hatchery Road and Chinden Boulevard will need to access Linder Road from Chinden Boulevard. See attached map.

Over the next several months, crews will finish work on rebuilding the intersection of Idaho 44 and Linder Road. The new intersection will have two through lanes on Idaho 44, double left-turn bays on Linder Road and right-turn lanes at all four sides of the intersection.

The transportation department started work on the Idaho 44, Linder Road to Ballantyne Lane improvement project in November 2012. It’s expected that construction will be completed by this fall.

Every day, approximately 19,000 motorists drive through the Idaho 44/Linder Road intersection. The project will improve safety, reduce congestion and allow for a smoother flow of traffic.
