UPDATE: I-90 resurfacing project beginning July 29 will restrict travel
BOISE - A resurfacing project on Interstate 90 set to start July 29 will extend the life of the highway in the seven-mile stretch from Elizabeth Park Road to Osburn, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
Alternating 24-hour-per-day lane closures are expected during this work. Traffic will be allowed to travel through the area - at no point will all east- and westbound lanes on I-90 be closed at the same time.
The project will also include guardrail repair.
The speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph from milepost 51.5 to 58.5 during the project, which is expected to finish in mid-September.
Knife River Corp. NW, of Boise, is the contractor on this $5.7 million project.
